An echo on the brink of a russet ravine

I made this sequined cape for Carl!
It's heavy and matte black on one side and sequined rays of golden and silver fabric on the other side. We went to High Park to hide in the rushes, you can't tell here but it's almost spring.

E G Y P T

My pal Danielle Besseda has recently gone to Alexandria, Egypt, and took a little bit of Toronto with her. She printed works from a bunch of Toronto people (me included) onto large sheets of kraft paper, and will be installing them in a temporary location while in Egypt. I've never gone to Egypt and have always wanted to go.....so it's exciting that something from me is there right now!

The good people at Double Double Land had a substantial amount of $$$ stolen from them back in December, which totally sucks, as they are a great DIY space with sooo much good stuff happening there...

So as a fundraising initiative they are holding an auction this Wednesday, I donated a print to it! GO check it out lots of amazing stuff by local artists.

Feast in the East 9

Hey all,
SO my lovely co-werker Cameron Lee has been doing the installations/projections for this great event that happens mostly monthly in the much neglected east end of Toronto. Local music, art and a free meal happen on each of these nights. Organized by Tad Michalak of Burn Down the Capitol, he also makes all the posters! This past Feast in the East I was invited to do installations, I made a giant 16ft banner of collage work. Rimmed with sparkly fabric. here it is!in le cosmic light
